Sky View beats Bonneville

At our first Region meet of the 2013-2014 season Sky View hosted Bonneville at home.  The final results were:
Sky View Boys Team: 120 - Bonneville Boys Team: 48
Sky View Girls Team: 126 - Bonneville Girls Team: 44

Upcoming Meets


Our swim season gets under way this week.  Thursday, November 21st we have our first region dual meet against Bonneville High School.  The meet will be at the Sky View Pool and begin at 3:30 p.m.  We will need 12 parents to help with timing at this meet.  Please plan to arrive by 3:15 so you can be set and ready to help time.
 
On Friday our team will travel to Bountiful for the Thanksgiving Invitational.  This is a 2-day meet at the South Davis Recreation Center (550 North 200 West, Bountiful, Utah).

MORE DETAILS ON THE THANKSGIVING INVITATIONAL CAN BE FOUND UNDER THE MEET INFORMATION TAB AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE.
 
Friday events will begin at 3:00.  Saturday events will begin at 9:00 a.m.  Estimated conclusion of the meet is 2:15 p.m.

If your swimmer will ride home from the meet on Saturday with you (Parents only!) instead of riding the bus, you must make sure to let the Coach know so they do not leave without your swimmer or spend time looking for them.

New Sky View Record!

Congratulations to Annika Israelsen for breaking the school record in the 100 butterfly at the Sky View vs. Logan meet on January 3!  Way to go Annika!

Highland Invitational Information

THE FOLLOWING IS THE FORMAT FOR THE HIGHLAND HIGH SCHOOL INVITATIONAL JANUARY 11-12 2013.

LOCATION:  1044 EAST SUGARMONT AVENUE ( 2225 SOUTH )  SALT LAKE CITY


WARMUPS FRIDAY JAN 11 @ 3:30 p.m. / COMPETITION BEGINS AT 4:30 p.m.
WARMUPS SATURDAY JAN 12 @ 8:00 a.m. /COMPETITION BEGINS AT 9:00 a.m.



HOTEL INFORMATION
Parents:
I have been able to get us a contract for a hotel for the Highland Invitational Meet.  The team and parents will be staying at the same hotel.  I have blocked out rooms for us at the Comfort Inn Downtown, located at 171 West 500 South.  Rooms will be $59 plus tax for the night.  I have blocked out 5 King rooms and 10 double queens.  To book a room, you need to call  801-325-5300 and tell the agents that you need to make a reservation under the Sky View High School Block.  You will need to give them your credit card information to hold and pay for the room.  I will cancel any unused rooms by January 8th.  This hotel has a full breakfast on Saturday, opening at 6 a.m.  If you plan on eating early with the team, let me know as I will be giving the hotel a heads up on the time the team will need breakfast so they can plan to have enough food ready for a large number of people.  We also have the conference room scheduled for the night before for dinner after the meet.  They will have it set up for about 60 people.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or ask the hotel.
